Back to the Bones and here is why?

In personal practice we often live by the breath, what if we took our focus to a whole new location? back into the Bones! yes the bones... this beautiful and often misunderstood creatures of the structure that hold us up everyday... are also often neglected!
Like visiting a foreign country that we have never been to before it can be a bit confusing at first. We may get lost in translation or confused by all the distraction of new sites, smells and sounds. But once you have been there a few days you get to know the area, you may no longer get lost on the way to your hotel and you have found some favorite restaurants, pretty soon you are comfortable there... dare I say you feel at home in the new environment.
Navigating the thoughts on to the bones is very similar to an exciting vacation in the embodiment world and just like travel can be challenging but life changing.
Why the Bones....
As a pretty body aware individual I thought I was doing an ok job of "managing my structure" I would keep my core tight to support the muscles of my back, I would lift with my knees and use my muscles to guide me through proper push up form. In yoga I would strain and stretch those same muscles to the point of shaking and burning. I would power through the spin class all the while thinking my lungs are burning when can I stop. This was all done in the name of results.. of course I did consider that the those results also came with endorphins and serotonin and made a huge difference in mood but was a really aware of what my body was trying to tell me?
Back to the Bones, these mystic creatures are there and need your attention and here is why.... your body no matter what it is doing ... weather walking to the park, driving in rush hour or holding tree pose loves to know where the bones are in time and space. Its a reference point and when we move from our bones we often make the movement with out the try.... " there is no try only do" I think when it comes to sensing the bones it feels very foreign because we assume they don't really lead the movement isn't the muscles and brain that fire them responsible for all that action. Don't we need to be conscientious of that in order to achieve our desired position and results?
